Rachel is a Talent Manager in our London office. In the hours she isn’t working hard to get the best candidates through the door, she’s working hard at her Crossfit gym!

How long have you been a Briteling?

I joined back in April 2018 so 18 months!

Give us the tl;dr on your role

I am responsible for recruitment across Europe (with the exception of Spain and I am now focussing mainly on the UK and Ireland!)

What were you doing before Eventbrite, and what inspired you to join the team?

I was working for the leading global recruitment agency recruiting sales roles across London into Professional Service Firms (like PwC or EY). I wanted to move away from the agency side and move in-house to become more ingrained in one organisation and make more of an impact on the business.

What’s your favorite part of your Briteland?

The location! Right in the middle of the best city in the world (yes, I may be biased).

Have you gotten to travel to any of the other Britelands? What was it like?

I have been lucky enough to travel to our Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, San Francisco, and Nashville offices. Each has its own vibe and culture — a particular favourite is Madrid and the amazing rooftop complete with hammocks and outdoor sofas!

What advice do you have for future Britelings?

Don’t be afraid to show your personality when interviewing — it is unique to you and that is your power. Also, the role has to be right for you just as much as you need to be right for us — so ask us questions!

What gets you most excited about the company’s future?

Everyone is so motivated to do their best and work together for the company that I have no doubt Eventbrite will go up and up!

What are you most passionate about outside of work?

Crossfit! I absolutely love it and train every morning before work — it is a combination of weightlifting and gymnastics. I am also a PT and coach at Ministry of Sound Fitness in the evening.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you cast to play you?

Jennifer Aniston — she was my favourite character in Friends and seeing as we share the same name, I think it is fitting she plays me. She is just fab!
